Wicked Wednesday #4 — “Jolene, Jolene”

Wicked Wells |

Every Wednesday, we sit down with elite captains to break down what makes them dangerous — the gear, the mindset, and the moments that separate the stage from the sidelines.

This week, we’re locked in with Captain Drew Rhonehouse, fresh off a historic season at the helm of Jolene.

If you fish tournaments in South Florida, you know the name by now. And if you don’t, you’re probably chasing her wake.

“As soon as we started fishing tournaments I told my boss we needed Wicked Wells,” Drew told us after taking Operation Sailfish with 179k in winnings.

“Not only do they pressurize and keep the baits in perfect condition no matter the sea condition — there’s no overflowing onto the deck so you’re not worried about flooding bilges or anything like that. They’re the best product on the market.”

Drew’s talking about our closed-loop pressurization system — designed to maintain steady water pressure regardless of sea state, whether you’re running, drifting, or resetting. No backflow. No slosh-out. No drainpipe geysers flooding the deck. Just clean, recirculated water to keep your baits calm, clean, and kicking all day.

That tournament was just the start — and it was clear Drew was onto something with how he approached the season. From bait prep to boat setup, Jolene ran like a weapon. He podiumed across multiple legs, culminating in a nail-biter at Final Sail, where he held the lead until the final hour — and did just enough to lock in the Burgundy Jacket.

Wicked Wells. Wicked season...

We’re proud to play a small part in big wins like these. Congrats to, Drew and crew, and thanks for trusting us for your bait health needs.
